Yesterday, March 9, 2013, was day 28 of my juice fast. I am surprised myself that I have completed 28 days of a 49 day juice fast. I have been surprised that it has been relatively easy with a few bumps along the way.
If I wait too long to make my veggie juice for evening I start getting emotionally imbalanced. The reason I tend to wait too long is I am not really hungry. But I do find that when I need to eat it is NOW that I need to make my juice, or I have a doubt or feel like I want to stop etc.
I also did an Emotional Release treatment on a client on Thursday and it seems to have also worked on me. A good/bad scenario, good because it helps my cells cleanse emotional baggage, bad because I hadn't planned for it as I was focused on the client.
As Saturday came around I realized that I would be able to continue the fast. On Friday I had thought that there was no way I could continue with my 49 day juice fast. Most of that feeling came from the emotional dumping that I was going through, and part from a very bad juice that I made with beets. I simply do not like beets. They taste like dirt. I feel like I am eating a hand full of good soil. It makes for a pretty juice but pretty doesn't cut it when the taste is so bad. So I gave the remainder of the beets to my mom. She likes beets, I juiced the tops and gave her the root of the beet.

Sugar Blues - How Sugar effects your blood - pt 1
Your
life can change significantly when you are eating well, and when you understand
food ….
because
what we eat changes everything.
Food
goes into our stomach and as it gets digested, it gets absorbed into our blood.
A healthy
diet produces healthy blood cells.
High
sugar diet (picture)
produces clogged blood cells which cannot flow and interact with your body the
way they should.
Remember
- disease is not a lack of medication, it is a lack of proper nutrition to
support body’s function.
Our
blood carries the nutrition to create our cells, our tissues and our organs.
If
the process is clogged by sugar-coated blood cells, your body cannot be healthy.
You
may have heard that part of the problem with processed sweet foods is
that they raise
your blood sugar
temporarily and then your levels crash and
you are hungry for more.
Though
Lay’s potato chips are marketed with the slogan “Bet you can’t eat just
one” it doesn’t apply to just those
chips.
Food manufacturers put sugar in their products
for flavor and to get you hooked – sugar is addictive, plain and simple... addictive.
Have you ever
explored how prominent is sugar in the foods you eat? Take a look at the ingredients in all the food you eat. You will be amazed at how much sugar is in your food. Here is a guide, 4 grams of sugar = 1 tsp.
If you would like help getting your life of health back on track, I will do a FREE 50 minute Health History consultation with you, at which time we will determine the best plan that is bio-individual for you.

The History of Reflexology in the US.
William H. Fitzgerald, MD, was a
forward thinking medical doctor of the early 1900’s who is frequently referred
to in the United States as the father of reflexology. He wrote in 1917, about ten vertical zones
that extended the length of the body.
In his research he found that the
application of pressure to a zone that corresponded to the location of an
injury could serve as relief of pain during minor surgeries.
Dr. Shelby Riley, further expanded Dr
Fitzgerald’s work, and developed a map of horizontal zones going across the
body and a detailed map of reflex points on the feet and hands. At the same
time Dr. Riley suggested additional pressure points on the outer ear.
Dr. Riley also came up with apercussion system to help send the messages to the brain giving a quicker body
response. This percussion machine is
used today by Full Spectrum Reflexologists trained at the Modern Institute of Reflexology founded by Zachery Brinkerhoff, who trained under Eunice Ingham. This is where I trained.
Eunice Ingham-Stopfel, a
physiotherapist who worked for Dr. Riley, is a very prominent figure in the
development of reflexology here in the United States. In her research with zone
therapy's pressure points, she found the feet to be the most sensitive and
responsive. She developed the foot maps that are still in use today and
introduced reflexology practices to the non-medical community in the 1930s. Ms.
Ingham-Stopfel, DR, also designed one of the most commonly used reflexology
charts.
Today I carry on this practice in Oregon, Full
Spectrum Reflexology. Get to know your
body better and help it come to better health naturally. Appointments Available. Let's work up a plan to help you realize your highest potential.

My 49 Day Juice Fast - end of day 21
Today is the end of my 21st day /3 week mark. All is good and I really enjoy the juice. I have my special 'Green' juice that I drink in the a.m. It is started with my base of homemade Kombucha, with added Ambrotose, and NutriVerus (Mannatech Products) spirulina, gogi berries, Cacao powder, Chia seeds, Hemp Hearts, my frozen berries, and a few other things. I really enjoy this drink. I drink 30 oz of water first off in the morning and throughout the day.
In the second half of the day I will juice kale, bok choy, bell peppers, carrots, celery, cucumbers, more kale, cilantro, parsley, collard greens, chard, etc. LOTS of greens. I also usually add an apple and a lemon. I have tried to put beets in it and really have a hard time with it. I have decided that the beet capsules that my friend Kelly gave me will be enough. So I have about 10 beet capsules a day.
I have loads of energy and also had a colonic this week. First one I have ever done. I had it done in Silverton, OR at Natural Health Center by Karen McKenzie a certified Natural Health Professional. Tell her I sent you. Good things that needed to be were flushed.
I am gathering raw food recipes for when I am done with juicing so that I can continue raw for a few more months. I am thinking that I will tackle 3 months at a time. So when I am done with this juice fast of 7 weeks I will be just 6 weeks from 3 months.
My goal is to continue to get healthier and healthier. And also help others go gain better health. I have been eating better for many years now, and with my classes with Institute for Integrative Nutrition I have been learning many different methods and the reasons behind each. Everyone is bio-individual so learning and trying different pieces of different methods is interesting and fun to see responses of my body.
This 49 day juice fast is actually not bad as one might think. Although I have made a couple of juices that have not been good at all. I drank them anyway. There are loads of veggies in each one and I can't even think to lose those because they don't taste so good.
If you would like to take a walk to a healthier you, schedule your first FREE Holistic Health consultation.
Look for my post on week 4 next Saturday! I will be over halfway on my 49 day juice fast.

Reflexology - Is it VooDoo? No...
I have been questioned about reflexology and what it is, and have people afraid of it and calling it Voo Doo. Being a Christian that walks in faith, I have to say up front, NO Reflexology is NOT Voo Doo. NOT EVEN CLOSE.
I would dare say that anyone who has had a good treatment would agree that it is that. Please take the time to have a treatment.
Reflexology is a modality that has been around for thousands of years, a modality that was around WAY before Western medicine.
In Western Medicine it is ignored and brushed off as a non essential, irrelevant.
Reflexology does so much good in the body, but it is hard to record. There would have to be extensive tests done to 'prove' all. And because big pharma can't make money on it, that kind of research doesn't happen.
God gave us amazing bodies. Why do we Christian's deny this? Why do we Christian's want to believe that we need a pharmaceutical to deal with an issue? Why do we think that God wouldn't give us bodies that, with the right nutrition, would stay and be healthy?
I encourage you to find a (Christian) Reflexologist in your area and give it a try. If you are in my area, you can click on the book now button and schedule an appointment with me. Ask me questions, talk with me, pray with me. But please, don't be afraid of what I am doing because I know that Reflexology is a good thing for our bodies. And I know that what I am doing is because of God. Reflexology (man made name) is a gift from God.
